The Masjid-i-Kutb-ul-Islam. View of the Iron Pillar from the west

Note.—The white dots on the lower portion of the Pillar indicate a scale of five feet.

Close view of the Iron Pillar, with the colonnade of the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque in the background. This is an excellent, clear view of the pillar, showing it before the masonry base was put in place after the excavations of 1871. Some of the inscriptions are also visible.
